Rules

PDP's 4th Ultimate Set Design Contest is here! This contest is being held in collaboration with the industry-leading digital art innovation brand, XPPen. Rewards include a US $120,000 cash prize pool, flagship XPPen drawing tablets, and the chance for your creation to be added to the game. Come show the world what your creativity has to offer!

【Contest Theme】

This contest introduces the new PUBG MOBILE × XPPen "Futuristic Era" theme, expanding on the popular "Holiday" and "Classic" themes. Details are as follows:

Holidays: April Fools, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas, Lunar New Year.

Classic: Clown, Suit, Wedding, Angel, Queen, Military, Spy, Sports, Street Fashion, Fairy, Mummy, Vampire, Dark Magic, Adorable Animals, Ice Age.

Futuristic Era: Mecha Soldier, Time Travel, Tech Powers, Interstellar Travel.

Creators are also encouraged to think out of the box and come up with their own unique themes and concepts.

【Contest Rules】

1. Design Requirements:

Entries can be an original concept, or inspired by the provided contest themes. They must include:

- A male and female Ultimate Set design showing the front and back.

- An upgradable firearm design with basic/advanced/ultimate forms.

2. Optional Design:

Fenix is the XPPen brand mascot. Creators may design an optional outfit for Fenix with the same theme. Note: If you choose to design an outfit for Fenix, you must provide a design showing the front and back. Fenix's model is available for download as a design template.

【Submission Rules】

1. In-Game Submission:

Download PUBG MOBILE, create an account, and log in to the game. In the bottom-right corner of the Lobby, tap More - Co-Create Space - PDP, and join the contest to submit your entry.

To ensure quality, each player may submit up to 5 entries. Submitting repeatedly using different accounts is prohibited.

2. External Submission:

Go to the official PUBG MOBILE website (https://www.pubgmobile.com/en/event/4th-Ultimate-Set-Design-Contest/) or XPPen website (https://community.xp-pen.com/events/co-create-with-pubgm-pdp) and submit your entry on the corresponding event page.

【Design Specifications】

- Entries can be hand-drawn or created using design software, but all original files (e.g. PSDs) must be kept. We recommend recording a time-lapse of part of the creation process to serve as evidence in case of disputes during the review.

- Entries must be entirely original and comply with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations. Use of AI, copying online images, or plagiarizing others' work is strictly prohibited.

- Please download and use the design template, ensuring that all design content and details are presented as required. Include the creation name, creator's nickname, UID, personal motto, and design inspiration. The backdrop template may be enhanced, but all required information must be completed.

- Entry Specifications: Image Size: 1920×1080. Image Format: JPG. File Size: No greater than 10 MB.

XPPen Judges

Clinton Jones

Clinton Jones is a director, 3D/VFX artist, and photographer. He frequently shares 3D art challenges on social media, spanning modeling, rendering, animation, and visual effects. His videos have inspired 3D artists worldwide to push their creative boundaries.

Shan Jiang

Shan Jiang, a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art, is a world-renowned artist, illustrator, and designer. He is a recipient of the prestigious Lion Award at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. His illustrations are bold and emotive, rich in cultural diversity and creative depth, and transport audiences to a vivid and imaginative world.

Giusy Amoroso

Giusy Amoroso, also know as Marigoldff, is a multidisciplinary digital artist and creative technologist from Italy. She specializes in exploring organic forms and alternative interpretations of reality through immersive media technologies, including VR, XR, 3D sculpting, and animation. She often combines natural structures with elements of technology in her work, creating a surreal aesthetic of biological mutations and human anatomy. Her work has been exhibited internationally at digital art institutions, festivals, and music events, and she has given two TEDx talks. In 2022, she was awarded the Digital Pioneer Award.

Esteban Diácono

Esteban Diácono is a motion graphics designer and digital artist from Argentina. He is known for his innovative work in 3D animation, motion design, and experimental digital art. His work has been exhibited at major art exhibitions and venues worldwide, including the "Digital Creatures" exhibition at ArtFutura in Rome, ComplexCon, and the Barbican Centre in London.

Ryota-H

Ryota-H is a renowned Japanese animator, illustrator, and manga artist, widely recognized for his work on numerous game characters. His art is known for its intricate details and rich fantasy elements.

Judging System

【Judges】

The 4th Ultimate Set Design Contest will be judged together by art directors, video game producers, operations specialists, marketing specialists, designers, and official XPPen design team members.

【Judging Process】

Q: How will the winners be chosen?

A: There will be two rounds of judging: shortlisting and final judgment. The judging committee and the official creative team will choose qualified submissions for the shortlist, from which the official judges will select the prize winners.

Q: How will the Popularity Award winners be chosen?

A: Results will be based on the number of votes. To ensure fairness in this PDP contest, votes will be officially screened for fraudulent behavior and verified before awards are issued. Severe violators will be disqualified!

Q: How are XPPen Special Award winners selected?

A: XPPen Special Award winners will be selected by a panel of five specially invited XPPen master artists. The panel will vote on a shortlist of entries to select the five most creative and artistically valuable designs.

Q: How do I know whether my entry has passed the initial and follow-up reviews?

A: Once you've submitted your entry, it will undergo two rounds of review by the official team. If it passes initial review, it will be selected for a follow-up review, and if it passes the follow-up review, it will be shortlisted and advance to the Voting Stage. It will also eligible for the final awards selection. If your entry cannot be found on the voting page, it means it did not make it to the Voting Stage and will not receive any awards. You can check your entry's status via in-game mail, Co-Create Space Creation Center notifications, and Discord.

【Award Selection Criteria】

a. Originality:

The design is creative and original. It also differs from the outfits available in the game. Rather than relying on special effects, it focuses on showcasing its creativity and design, establishing innovative ideas that break conventions.

b. Quality:

The design is high quality, featuring smooth clean lines and complementary colors. It also fits the theme and vibe, using color contrast and layering to highlight the design focus.

c. Value:

The entry should take into account the actual presentation in the game, such as proportions and other aspects. It should also be appealing to other PUBG MOBILE players.

d. PUBG MOBILE Style:

Entries' aesthetics and expressive ideas should fit in well with PUBG MOBILE, ensuring consistency with the game's overall style.

Event Rewards Overview

Q: How do I claim my item and cash rewards?

A: You must create a PUBG MOBILE account to claim your rewards.

Item Rewards: PUBG MOBILE will notify you of your reward via in-game mail and the email linked to your Co-Create Space Creation Center. The message will include a link where you can select your reward. Once selected, the item will be sent directly to your in-game mail. Please make sure to claim your reward through the provided link within 30 days, as the link will expire after that period. Unclaimed rewards will not be reissued.

Cash Rewards: PDP issues cash rewards through the Freelancer platform, so you'll need to fill in your information there. After winning, you'll receive an in-game message with a link to the Freelancer platform. If it's your first time, you'll need to register and sign a contract. Please complete registration and provide your payment details within 30 days of receiving the message. If you've already signed the contract, you don’t need to sign it again. Cash rewards are typically issued within 15–30 working days after registration. You can log in to Freelancer at any time to check your reward status.

Physical Rewards/Coupons: XPPen will be responsible for sending out physical XPPen rewards. Coupons will be sent to your personal email, and can be used in all XPPen stores.

Q: Are there any shipping restrictions for the flagship XPPen drawing tablets?

A: XPPen will cover shipping costs, but recipients are responsible for any applicable customs duties. Due to shipping restrictions, we currently cannot ship to the Middle East (except the UAE and Saudi Arabia), Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, and Africa. Winners from these regions will receive a cash prize instead.

*Logistics, taxes, and production costs will be deducted from cash prizes awarded in place of physical rewards.
